Arturo Gonzalez
AIA, NCARB, LEED GA
Arturo received his Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin in 2011, in a program that focused on providing a good balance between the art of design and the process of construction. While at university, he made it a point to study under professors with experience in the field to ground his understanding of how architecture works in real life. His interest in craft, the environment, and façade design led him to spend hours in the wood shop building models, researching passive design strategies, and focusing several of his projects on intelligent building skins.
Professionally, Arturo started his career interning at A+A Architects, focusing on residential and commercial projects in and around Austin, Texas, and developed an understanding of working on small projects. He then relocated to Dallas, Texas, where he spent several years working on tenant finish-outs for retail clients at CallisonRTKL. After, he worked at BRW Architects, where he spent most of his time on civic projects that included fire and police stations, K-12, and Higher Education. It was at BRW where Arturo developed his deep appreciation for public projects and the profound impact they have on their community. In 2021, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and started working at EOA Architects which expanded his project knowledge to include multi-family, religious, and sports arenas.
At the Workshop, Arturo utilizes his experience to deliver projects from design to construction along with Architect Workshop’s team of architects and designers. He strives to go above and beyond to meet his client, project, and professional expectations for each individual project.
