Masterplan

The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd approached Architect Workshop to conduct a space needs study of the existing church and identify what would be required for their congregation to continue growing. After multiple meetings with church leadership and building users, the proposed master plan was developed to address current limitations in classroom space, staff offices, small group gathering, and future fellowship opportunities.

The master plan proposes five additional classrooms to support children, youth, adult formation, and flexible church programming. It also includes a much-needed administrative suite for church staff, who are currently spread throughout the existing building. In addition, the proposed expansion provides a separate chapel seating approximately 24 people, allowing for small funerals, weddings, and prayer groups that can feel underserved by the scale of the existing sanctuary. The plan also identifies a future outdoor social space with grills and play areas to support church events, fellowship, and informal gathering.
