The Workshop team was selected by the City of Jackson to begin working on a space needs assessment and public safety campus masterplan for their existing campus which houses the Police Headquarters, Fire Hall 01 & EMS 02 with offsite training, maintenance and fire administration. The goal was to centralize Police, Fire, and Training facilities at a central location for much needed space and facility upgrades as well as planning for future growth of departments as the region continues to experience growth.

The Workshop team met extensively with the leadership and user groups to determine needs and adjacencies for the campus; incorporating future staffing needs and programs to support the City as a regional hub for Public Safety training. From this, a master plan was developed with planned phasing to maintain operations of facilities while new construction is ongoing.
